 1953 Establishment of Enichem / Monsanto JV in Porto Marghera.

 1954 Start up by Lonza of plant in Sins, Switzerland.

 1955 TPV established in Ferrara.

 1958 Establishment of Mazzucchelli Vinyls.

 1962 Establishment of VKW Staufen.

Barex resins introduced commercially.

 1986 EVC formed as a 50:50 venture between ICI and Enichem.

 1988 Acquisition by EVC of VKW, TPV and of BICC Helsby.

 1990 Acquisition by EVC of Mazzucchelli and Savinil.

 1996 Acquisition of the majority shareholding in Caprihans, India.

 1997 Acquisition of Orbitaplast, Weißandt-Gölzau.

 2001 INEOS acquires a majority shareholding in EVC.

 2004 EVC Films established as a separate business.
Acquisition of former films plant in Delaware, USA and of Dub Sebuca Compounds business in France.

 2005 Acquisition from Solvay of Adriaplast and Caleppiovinil, Italy.  EVC assets acquired by INEOS, with the INEOS Compounds business tranferred to join INEOS Films in a single downstream INEOS Division, INEOS Films and Compounds.
INEOS acquisition of Innovene leads to the transfer of Barex resin into the INEOS Films and Compounds Division.
