INEOS Films manufacturing and marketing activity is mainly concentrated on the production of rigid PVC and PVC-PE films and also includes the finishing of films in form of coating, stentering, laminating and metallizing. The extrusion of PET and PET-PE films completes the product range.
INEOS Compounds is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of PVC Compounds. The business also includes a Mechanical Division that builds bespoke extrusion lines for the profile industry.
INEOS Barex is a unique speciality polymer which provides solutions for a wide variety of packaging and fabrication needs. Several grades of resin are manufactured, all of which display an exceptionally high barrier to oxygen transfer as well as chemical resistance and inertness.
The combined INEOS Films and Compounds Group employs approximately 2,000 people with sites in Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, UK, India and the USA.
Production capacity stands at 180,000 tonnes per annum of PVC and PVC-PE films, 8,000 tonnes of PET and PET-PE films and 225,000 tonnes of PVC compounds and Barex resin.
Key raw materials, including PVC resin, plasticisers and acrylonitriles, are obtained mainly through associated companies of the INEOS Group. This provides important integration synergy within the overall group and also in the case of INEOS Films means that we are the only integrated Rigid PVC Film producer in Europe.
Whilst both INEOS Films and INEOS Compounds have a major position in the European market, INEOS Films and INEOS Barex also sells their products on a world-wide basis.
