INEOS Oxide adds 4th alkox reactor

INEOS Oxide has added a fourth reactor to its alkoxylation capabilities in Antwerp. The unit, acquired from BASF in September 2004, had been dedicated to the production of Bisphenol A-based alkoxylates since commissioning in 1994. On acquisition Alkox IV was fully integrated into the existing alkoxylation infrastructure and further expanded to add 10 ktpa to the existing 140ktpa capacity. INEOS Oxide produces a comprehensive range of alkoxylates, including: natural and synthetic alcohol-base surfactants, EO-PO copolymers, PEGs, PAGs, Methoxy-PEGs and Reactive-PEGs.
