INEOS TOP THE UK'S 2016 TEAM LEADERBOARD FOR MOVEMBER FOUNDATION

The team raise more than £33,000 to help tackle the biggest health issues facing men today

INEOS have topped the UK’s 2016 Movember Foundation team leaderboard, with the company’s fundraising efforts raising over £33,000 worth in donations. Employees took part in the Movember challenge to help raise money to fund projects for some of the biggest issues faced by men today, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.

Typically, Movember is where individuals put down their razors and let their moustache grow over the 30 days of November. However this year, INEOS decided to do something a little different and created their own “Reverse Movember Challenge”. Participating INEOS employees who already had a moustache were asked to come clean and give their well-covered upper lip a bit of an airing.

Setting a clean-shaven example for employees, three of INEOS’ senior executives were asked to partake and bid farewell to their ‘furry friend’ of many years: Andy Currie Director INEOS Capital, Tom Crotty Director INEOS Group and Gerd Franken INEOS Olefins & Polymers.

"Millions have joined the 'Movember' movement, and together have raised over $600 million since 2003 to help fund over 1,200 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention and this year INEOS got involved." said Tom Crotty "We supported Movember with a twist....The Reverse Movember. Losing our moustaches was a big deal after most of us have lived with them for 30 years or more, but the money has gone to a great cause. Thank you to everyone that has supported the team."

The high profile shaving of the three INEOS directors took place at Trufitt & Hill, St James's Street London. Established in 1805, it is the world's oldest barbershop. It is also recognised in the Guinness Book of Records and are barbers and Royal Warrant holders to H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh. We would also like to thank them for their support.

Other members of the brave INEOS team included: Yohann Bach, Mike Trudick, Thanos Varvounis, Jim Shaw, Peter Steylaerts, Mark Gelderblom, Frederic Howard, Thomas Kimmel and Carlo Di Lorenzo.

Contributions for this very worthy cause are still welcome. To find out more go to: http://moteam.co/ineos

During November, men and women around the world raise funds by growing or supporting a moustache, getting physically active, or by hosting or attending a "Movember" event. Millions have joined the "Movember" movement, and together have raised over $585 million since 2003 to help fund over 1,200 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention and this year INEOS is getting involved. We are supporting Movember with a twist...our own take on the challenge...The Reverse Movember.

This short film supporting the INEOS Reverse Movember Challenge was made with the help of Trufitt & Hill, St James's Street London. Established in 1805, they are the world's oldest barbershop, recognised in the Guinness Book of records. They are barbers and Royal Warrant holders to H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh. INEOS is reversing Movember so that men who already have a moustache can also raise money for the Movember Foundation. We’ve thrown down the "Reverse Movember" challenge to INEOS employees across our 67 sites around the world. Through the month of November INEOS employees with moustaches are being challenged to come clean and give those well covered upper lips a bit of an airing. You can support them through the INEOS Reverse Movember Team page:  http://moteam.co/ineos  or by clicking on the links above.

The idea is simple - our employees raise money to shave off their moustache at the end of the month. In return INEOS will match every cent that is raised by its employees and will donate to the Movember Foundation?

Leading from the front, setting a clean-shaven example, will be three of our senior executives: Andy Currie of INEOS Capital, Tom Crotty of INEOS Group and Gerd Franken of INEOS O&P Europe. All three have been with their furry friend longer than their partners so we will be filming the momentous razor at work on 25th November, to show to the world on the 30th November.

We will keep track of fundraising and will let you know how much is raised at the end of the month.

Preparing for the big "shave off" Our three Mo'sketeers wait for the barber.

All will be revealed in the film to be published next week.
