The INEOS Inovyn PVC plant is located in the Herøya Industrial Park in Porsgrunn, Norway. The plant's production process is based on modern, self-developed technology. The plant produces both S-PVC and P-PVC, some of which is marketed as bio-attributed, climate-neutral PVC under the BIOVYNTM and NEOVYNTM brands.

The industrial area was established by Norsk Hydro in 1928–29 for fertiliser production. PVC production began at the plant in 1950, and the PVC and Chlorine/VCM plants in Rafnes are connected via a pipeline under the Frierfjord. The Porsgrunn plant also houses our Inovyn RTE facilities.

Over the years, Herøya has evolved from a dedicated Norsk Hydro production facility into an attractive industrial park for a wide range of companies.

The site is also part of the industry's Operation Clean Sweep programme. This means that improvements are constantly being made to reduce PVC spillage through procedures, training and monitoring, as well as improved process equipment. Standards have been further refined through detailed requirements and external audits, for which certification has been achieved since 2024.

The facility has management systems certified to ISO 9001 for Quality, ISO 14001 for Environment and ISO 50001 for Energy.
