EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES IN ENERGY TRADING WITH INEOS – Are you IN?

  • INEOS is the world’s third largest chemical company employing 18,500 people, operating 105 facilities in 22 countries.
  • Driven by an ongoing expansion of Upstream activities, INEOS is now establishing an Energy Trading Team.
  • INEOS is already an established trader of Feedstocks and LPG and the new Energy Trading Team will sit alongside this team in our centrally located London office.
  • We will be balancing and optimising around physical gas flows using usual commercial methods including, beach swaps, short haul, location arbitrage, forward sales benchmarked vs defined market markers.
  • INEOS is itself a major consumer of gas across many of its chemicals sites in Europe.
  • This new team will consist of experts from the industry, in positions ranging from Energy Trading Director to Business Development Manager (details of specific roles below).

Vacancies

  • ENERGY TRADING DIRECTOR
    • Reporting directly to the INEOS Trading and Shipping (IT&S) CEO tasked with driving an accelerated set up of a physical Gas Trading Business based in London.
    • Member of the IT&S board of directors.
    • Work in close cooperation with the upstream INEOS DeNoS and INEOS Breagh gas businesses.
    • Responsible for setting the Trading Strategy and obtaining approval from the IT&S board.

     

    VIEW THE ENERGY TRADING DIRECTOR ROLE

     

  • Trading Manager
    • Experience in establishing and leading an asset based Gas Trading organization.
    • Leading the trading team with responsibility for identifying and implementing trading strategies within the given DOA.
    • Will closely cooperate with upstream, Gas Operations and Trade Control and with other INEOS Trading desks.

     

    VIEW THE TRADING MANAGER ROLE

     

  • Trader
    • Demonstrated experience in adding value via trading in an asset based Gas trading business.
    • Can show a deep understanding of European Gas fundamentals and operations.
    • Highly analytical and numerate with a close attention to detail and ability to present complex trading information.
    • Will work closely with Gas Operations and Trade Control to manage the trade life cycle

     

    VIEW THE TRADER ROLE

     

  • Analyst / Junior Trader
    • Supporting an experienced team by providing analysis and trade support activities
    • Demonstrated ability to model positions and prices as well as analysis of European gas market fundamentals.
    • Development opportunity to move in to performing supervised trades.

     

    VIEW THE ANALYST / JUNIOR TRADER ROLE

     

  • Business Development Manager
    • 7+ years’ experience in Gas Marketing with deep knowledge of the markets and drivers.
    • Respected within the industry, with strong relationships and an established network.
    • Strong commercial and contracting skills

     

    VIEW THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE

     

  • Operations Manager / Scheduler
    • Experienced in all aspects of operations in an physical Gas Trading organization.
    • Capable of leading a team of operators tasked with managing day to day scheduling, nomination and balancing activities across a European gas portfolio.
    • Responsible for ensuring trades move smoothly through all aspects of the life cycle.

     

    VIEW THE OPERATIONS MANAGER / SCHEDULER ROLE

     

  • Operators
    • Broad experience of scheduling and nominations in a physical gas trading environment.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all trades are matched including OTC and exchange trades.
    • Responsible for following the trade through the life cycle including confirmations and settlements.

     

    VIEW THE OPERATORS ROLE

     

  • Junior Operator
    • Will have some experience of gas operations.
    • A development opportunity to learn from a team of experienced gas professionals to broaden existing knowledge of gas operations.
