Geel

The INEOS O&P North plant in Geel is located on a 33 hectares site, 45 km east from Antwerp. It has an excellent connection with the Antwerp chemical cluster, via the ethylene and propylene pipeline network system, the Albert Canal, railway and the E313 highway.

In 2000 the site became part of the BP group. However, this was shortly followed by the acquisition of the Polymers part by INEOS. The PP2 unit was built and commissioned by Amoco Chemicals in 1996. Our process, the INEOS Technologies "Innovene TM PP Polypropylene Technology" product portfolio covers the full grade range for all major applications. We make a wide range of Homopolymers and an increasingly array of complex Random and Impact Copolymers. Environmental, Safety, Health  & Quality performance are integral to the way we operate. We strive to be world class in our use of raw materials and energy, as well as in plant reliability and cost efficiency. Our employees are highly skilled and most of them are living in the neighbourhood of the site. Team spirit, commitment and entrepreneurship are key values for the success of the site. We play an important and active part in the local community where we promote a close understanding and link with local people. The site is certified ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO14001:2015 (Environmental Management) certifications, and ISO50001:2018 (Energy Management).
