INEOS receives gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis


  • The INEOS overall sustainability score puts it in the top 4% of companies in the sector
  • Particular recognition was given for its environmental performance

INEOS Europe has today received a gold sustainability score from EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. The overall rating puts INEOS into the top 4 percent of companies in the sector demonstrating an advanced management system for environmental issues, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.

The EcoVadis corporate social responsibility scorecards, provide detailed insight into more than 65,000 businesses across 200 sectors in 160 countries, all working with a single methodology to evaluate and improve sustainability performance and transparency.

INEOS was especially recognised for its commitment to environmental performance. It’s 80% score in this category places it into the top 3% of companies in the sector, reflecting the Group’s commitment to pursue science-based carbon emission reduction targets, with a focus on changing to green power and clean heat, reusing hydrogen and CO2 and where appropriate switching to recycled or bio-feedstock business.  INEOS is also committed to reducing plastic waste as demonstrated in its pledge to a new circular approach to plastics production.
