Coatings and linings made with INEOS Derakane™ epoxy vinyl ester resins have been successfully used to protect concrete and metal structures for more than 50 years. Derakane™ resins are a cross between polyester and epoxy resins. They carry the adhesion performance, temperature resistance and toughness of epoxy but with the low temperature cure requirements commonly found in unsaturated polyester resins. Derakane™ resins exceed both polyester and epoxy resins in chemical and solvent resistance including acids and alkalis.
