Purpose of the job
Primarily provide support to the Business Manager EO Value Chain and Business Manager EO derivatives through:
- Analytical support and marketing insights, including analysis of the Global and regional EO, Glycols and EODs markets and end-use applications.
- Analysis and evaluation of commercial opportunities and growth projects
- Support and analysis on business performance.
- Support to the product managers EO/ Glycol and EODs for the weekly optimization of EO production and usage over three sites (Antwerp, Cologne and Lavéra) and 8 plants.
INEOS Oxide has 5 manufacturing sites (Lavéra – France; Antwerp – Belgium; Cologne–Germany; Hull-UK; and Plaquemine (Louisiana-USA). INEOS Oxide produces Ethylene Oxide and derivatives, Propylene Oxide and derivatives, Acetate esters, OXO Alcohols and ENB. Total capacity is above 3 million tons per annum, with 200+ products, generating an EBITDA of >200 million EUR. It has leading market positions on many of the products it supplies.
The EO, Glycols, Glycol Ether & European Ethanolamine business has assets in Antwerp, Cologne and Lavera being an important part of INEOS Oxide’s product offering to its global customer base.
Each site and plant is unique and needs its own and unique modelling. All sites and plants are connected and interactions need to be clear.
Ethanolamine is the only Oxide business with manufacturing both in Europe and US.
Upstream the business is integrated into crackers or connected to large import tank or pipelines.
Working closely with all areas in different geographies of the current organization: Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement to present and relay credible, concise and informative data will be key.

Accountabilities of the job
The role of Business Analyst performs a key role within the overall Oxide team. Key accountabilities will include:
maintain and bring new ideas for the development and improvement of the EO optimiser tool
Support the product managers in making best decisions in terms of producing and using Purified EO with the help of the optimiser
Collaborate with the wider Oxide team to build deep customer and market understanding (EO, Glycols and EODs, as well as downstream markets) leading to customer insights that inform potential offers
Preparation of key market input for monthly pricing strategy discussions as well as for the Contracting Strategy.
Populate as well as provide analyses on the global export sales.
Preparation of Management information related to various analyses.
Lead Process improvement drive for the EO, Glycols, EODs on behalf of the business manager.
Attendance to Sales Meetings, and quarterly business team meetings.
Provide analytical support for Sales team as required.
Support the Business Managers when exploring business opportunities at customers, assets, feedstock and supply chain.
The post holder will be under the supervision of the Business Manager.
Highly motivated self-starter who can work without supervision

B2B marketing skills/experience
Graduation in science / Chemistry is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a wide range of people.
Ability to synthesize data from a broad range of sources and reach an accurate conclusion.
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work to deadlines and manage stress.
Masters degree with commercial/technical subjects.
Languages: Complete Fluency in English with capability to present in this language, and preferably knowledge of other European languages.
Travel: up to 20%
Mobility: willing to be employed at key INEOS Oxide locations
