The INEOS Phenol Cumene plant in Pasadena, Texas is located on the Houston Ship Channel. In 1978, Pasadena started Cumene production when Georgia Pacific commissioned a 320,000 te/a plant. In 1996, the Cumene plant was the first to convert to the Badger Zeolite Catalyst process. This increased the capacity of the plant to 680,000 te/a. Through increased knowledge of the plant and debottlenecking efforts, the plant capacity is now at 907,000 te/a, which makes it the largest stand alone Cumene plant in the world.

Safety is very important at the Pasadena site. We are focused on sending every employee and contractor safely home to their families. Currently, the site has gone over 9 years without a lost time injury.

At the Pasadena site, we meet or beat the Environmental Compliance laws we fall under. We work hard to keep the environment around us clean. Our commitment to the environment has helped us develop a strong relationship with the Pasadena community we are a part of.

Pasadena receives raw material via water (barge and ship), railcars, truck and pipeline. Our product is shipped out by water (barge and ship) and truck. We ship our product to customers all over the world.

Pasadena has a long history of being a reliable supplier of quality Cumene. We are excited to be a part of the INEOS Phenol team and look forward to a strong future.
