Factory Policy

Introduction

The INEOS Inovyn policy in Tavaux to ensure the satisfaction of various stakeholders and the sustainability of its activities is fully in line with the group's vision.

INEOS Inovyn's No. 1 priority is safety, whether it's process or human safety:

Everyone has a duty to stop work if they think the situation is dangerous.

Everyone must put the requirements of process safety (including plant shutdown) before production requirements.
The rules and standards apply to everyone on the platform. These rules and standards are based on the INEOS Group's 20 Principles of Process Safety and Behavioural Safety, the INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGN) and the INEOS Life Saving Rules.

The Guiding Principles

INEOS Inovyn's guiding principles in Occupational Health and Safety, Technical Safety and Inspection, Environment, Product and Service Quality, and Energy are defined through its VISION, whose ambition is to sustain a safe, competitive, continuously improving, sustainable and rewarding company, by:

  • Protecting the environment by continuously improving its QHSE and Energy performance by :
    • strict compliance with regulations and other applicable requirements (voluntary commitments, standards, etc.)
    • compliance with inspection policy
    • Adapted technological and regulatory monitoring
    • the implementation of the best available technologies at an economically acceptable cost
    • encouraging the purchase of energy-efficient products and services
  • committing to preventing the loss of plastic resin to the environment through the implementation of the Operation Clean Sweep® program (see OCS commitment at the end of the document)
  • Limiting the environmental and economic footprint of energy consumption related to its activities and developing sustainable activities
  • Continuously improving its competitiveness through an approach of excellence in all processes
  • Promoting entrepreneurship and empowerment in its teams by :
    • sharing this policy
    • training and awareness-raising actions
    • a favourable climate.

Objectives

These guiding principles are intended to support the following objectives:

  • control environmental impacts by preventing pollution, preserving non-renewable resources, as well as promoting recycling and optimal waste disposal
  • control energy consumption by analyzing, optimising and taking it into account by all employees
  • Controlling technological risks and preventing major accidents
  • control the impacts on the health of people at work by preventing occupational exposures
  • control the quality of the products and services provided

I make a formal commitment to constantly support our progress approach reflected in this QHSE and Energy policy, to provide and maintain the necessary resources for its deployment, as well as to regularly check its effectiveness.

I entrust the SHEIL coordinator, the Production coordinator, the representative of the Management for the ISO 50001 standard, the MEX manager, as well as all the management and their employees, with the implementation of the deployment of this policy.

OCS Commitment

Our company recognizes the importance of preventing the loss of plastic resins to the environment and is committed to implementing the Operation Clean Sweep® program

We are partners in the OCS program, and as such we will work towards "zero plastic loss" and make changes to:

  • Improving the layout of our workplaces to prevent and address lockdown losses;
  • Create and publish internal procedures to achieve "zero plastic loss" goals;
  • Provide training and accountability to employees in leak prevention, containment, cleaning and disposal of spilled products;
  • Regularly audit our performance ;
  • Comply with all applicable local and national regulations governing containment;
  • Encourage our partners (contractors, carriers, etc.) to pursue the same objectives.
