INEOS FLUOR WINS PRESTIGIOUS SAFETY AWARDS

Runcorn-based speciality-chemicals manufacturer, Ineos Fluor, has won a diamond site safety award from the Chemical Industries Association and a President’s Award from RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). Both awards are in recognition of the company’s outstanding safety performance at its plant over more than ten years.

Each year, the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) collects safety data from member companies in relation to reporting of injuries to monitor trends in safety performance year by year.

Chemical manufacturers that meet the Association’s stringent target are awarded a certificate in recognition of their achievement. A site receiving such a certificate for five consecutive years qualifies for a Gold Award and a site receiving ten consecutive certificates qualifies for a Diamond Award. This is INEOS Fluor’s third Diamond Award. 

It is the 13th year that INEOS Fluor has won a RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety award and the third time it has won a President’s Award; which is given in recognition of continuing safety performance year on year, assessed against a range of measures.
