External assessments

Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) is a plastic industry programme to prevent pellet loss. INEOS Styrolution signed the OCS pledge in 2015 and is committed to implementing the OCS principles globally. Our site in Schwarzheide, Germany received its OCS Europe certification, with the rest of our sites in Europe actively working on being certified.  

Founded in 2010 through a multi-stakeholder initiative, the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is a globally applicable and leading certification system designed to enhance traceable, sustainable, deforestation-free, and climate-friendly supply chains. ISCC certifications are widely recognised and cover sustainable agricultural biomass, biogenic wastes and residues, non-biological renewable materials and recycled carbon-based materials. The development and implementation of different certification standards is ISCC’s tool to promote its mission to mitigate climate change and bring more traceability into global markets and supply chains. 

Ten of our manufacturing sites have received ISCC PLUS certification.  

RecyClass is a comprehensive cross-industry initiative that advances plastic packaging recyclability and ensures traceability and transparency of recycled plastic content in Europe. Our manufacturing sites in Antwerp, Belgium and Schwarzheide, Germany, are subject to regular RecyClass audits.
