Blow moulded containers
Styrolux® can easily be used for non-food contact extrusion blow moulded containers. Styrolux® shows high clarity combined with tailor-made toughness/softness ratio. A density close to 1, very good low temperature impact resistance and the processing on conventional polyolefin extrusion lines makes them to an excellent alternative to other transparent resins.
Lids & domes
Styrolux® based films for domes and lids offer excellent stiffness/ toughness balance for fresh and even frozen content like iced drinks, ice cream ect. Clarity and transparency remains optimal as well as processability. Opaque and coloured lids & domes are made from HIPS.
Food containers
Styrolux® grades are designed for extruded and thermoformed films for food containers. The food containers are typically dedicated for short term storage of salads, lettuce, fruit, meat and fish, spreads and prepared meals. Styrolux® grades 3G46 and 684D contribute to light weight and cost-effective packaging solutions. Styrolux® 3G55 offers optimum blend ratio with GPPS for take away containers and provides an ideal stiffness-toughness balance.
Packaged food containers
Polystyrene is well designed for extruded and thermoformed sheet dedicated to yogurt and other packaged food products. It combines ease of processing, Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance and toughness, providing protection for the packaged contents.
Yoghurt cups
Styrolux® grades and Styrolution PS grades are well designed for extruded and thermoformed films dedicated to yoghurt and other dairy products. It combines easy processing and toughness. Styrolux grades offer additional a high transparency, in a mix with GPPS in defined ratios it achieve well-established properties such as impact resistance to physically protect the content.
