Acetic acid
INEOS offers acetic acid in a range of grades and blends with water or acetic anhydride.
Acetic acid is a corrosive, colorless liquid that turns to a solid at 62oF. It’s also referred to as glacial acetic acid because, when solid, it forms white crystals that look like ice. It’s soluble in water and when very dilute is referred to as its more common name, vinegar. Acetic acid is mostly used as a raw material in the production of vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), peracetic acid (PAA) and ethyl acetate.
