INEOS Nitriles at a glance
More than 90% of Acrylonitrile produced globally uses INEOS Technology. Our leadership in this product is based on our technological know-how and manufacturing capability. The chances are that acrylonitrile touches everyone in some way, every day.
It is the key ingredient in Acrylic Fibre used to make Clothing and Carpeting. ABS (Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), a durable thermoplastic, is used in Automobile Components, Telephones, Computer Casings and Sports Equipment. Nitrile Rubber has many applications and is used to manufacture a multitude of products including hoses for pumping fuel.
Our four manufacturing plants, two in North America (Texas & Ohio) and two in Europe (Germany & UK), and terminals throughout the world facilitate our sales to customers in all regions globally. Green Lake in Texas is the largest and most efficient plant in the world. We recently announced an agreement with Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group Corporation to form a 50/50 JV to build a fifth plant, to be located in Asia.
We continue to invest in our manufacturing sites, expanding our capacity as necessary to meet the growth needs of our key customers. In addition, we continuously improve our process capabilities to provide unmatched security of supply globally. Our scientists and engineers at our Research Facility in the United States are always seeking to improve our process reliability and efficiencies.
Additional products offered globally are Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) and Acetone Cyanohydrin (ACH). We also offer Oxazole and Ammonium Sulphate on a more limited basis.
Our customers have high expectations; uniform product quality, on-time delivery, safe product handling and security of supply. We strive to exceed these expectations.
We are widely viewed as the industry safety leader and regularly provide safety training seminars to customers and logistic service providers. Our dedication to safety, to environmental performance, and to growth is exemplified by continuous investment in our manufacturing and logistics operations over the past 50 years.
