Football

INEOS owns French Ligue One side OGC Nice, Swiss Super League side FC Lausanne-Sport and works with partner club Racing Club Abidjan of Ivory Coast Ligue One.

About

The ambition is to have successful and sustainable football clubs with success in their respective leagues with the ability to reach European competition. At the same time it is expected that whilst the clubs are run federally like any other INEOS business they will work together to optimise opportunities. This can be expected to encompass: scouting, player assessment and acquisitions as well as medical and fitness.

A key focus is on the development of top young talent across all the clubs, providing the critical pathways for their development.

We are committed in the long-term to the development and growth of our clubs, our players and our coaching staff at all levels. To be sustainable franchises the clubs must also excel on their commercial activities.

OGC Nice

French Ligue One club and Europa League contenders with Francesco Farioli as first team coach.

INEOS products in football

We produce some of the key chemicals and compounds that are fundamental to football. This includes high density polyethylene in artificial grass, composites in stadium construction, polypropylene in stadium seats and goal nets, rubber and PVC used in footballs, plastics in football boots, chemicals used to make polyester for clothing and butane that goes into the referee’s vanishing spray.

INEOS Hygienics supporting football clubs

INEOS Hygienics is supporting INEOS’ clubs and players, at the training ground, at the stadium and when travelling by providing sanitisers and touchless dispensers to reduce the risk of transmission of viruses and bacteria, to minimise the number of days lost to avoidable illness.

Talent development across INEOS football

Under the direction of Director of Football for FC Lausanne-Sport Souleymane Cissé, the former footballer is working with talent from Racing Club Abidjan and FC Lausanne-Sport to identify development opportunities for players to progress to the next level.
