Marina Pfann - Commercial Graduate
In 2017, I started at INEOS as a European commercial graduate and my first placement is now at the Zwijndrecht site with INEOS Oxide. The description of the programme sounded very appealing to me: gaining a breadth of commercial experience early in the career, taking responsibility from day one, moving from one business to another, changing functions and getting to work in different countries. Thus, my expectations were high when I was accepted – and I have not been disappointed. INEOS has presented itself as a dynamic and innovative company, where integrity, an open communication and a can-do attitude are valued.
For the last 8 months, I have been part of the Credit Team. My day-to-day responsibilities included a wide range of tasks, from analysing the credit-risk of customers over preparing financial reports to optimizing systems and processes. Due to the flat structure and approachability of people, I got in touch with colleagues from different functions and management levels. Next, I will move to the Supply Chain Department and am excited about learning new aspects of the business.
I think the programme is a great opportunity for everyone who is eager to learn, enjoys taking responsibility and likes to face new challenges. It requires continuous development, but also offers support through different trainings and mentoring and the possibility to participate on several interesting projects.
