Belgian cases highlighted in INEOS 2023 Sustainability Report
INEOS published its 2023 sustainability report showing continued progress with climate and circular economy goals and remains focused on its strategic goals throughout 2023.
Many cases from Belgian INEOS sites are also highlighted in the report:
- Project ONE is Europe's most environmentally sustainable cracker, which INEOS is building in the port of Antwerp. It is the largest grassroots investment in the European chemical industry in 20 years.
- The 60 MW solar farm at INEOS Inovyn Jemeppe in Belgium, which has the capacity to cut CO2 emissions by 14,000 tonnes per year, is a significant contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
- INEOS donated 29,155 euros to charity organisation Avalon in Buggenhout and Belgian INEOS sites once again participated in the yearly INEOS Tour de France Challenge.
- INEOS O&P Lillo introduced a "safety street" ahead of a turnaround, building on the expertise earlier develepoed at INEOS Phenol Doel
- Our continued engagement to the Operation Clean Sweep initiative keeps preventing pellet leakage, while new, eye-catching sweeping kits help keep the site clean.
- Project Greensand is a successful example of CO2 capture, cross-border transportation and storage under the Danish North Sea. It is a world first with CO2 for the pilot case originating from INEOS Oxide in Zwijndrecht.
- Recycl-IN flexible packaging film, which is made from more than 50% recycled plastic waste, is another example of our commitment to sustainability. This innovative product has been engineered in Neder-Over-Heembeek and is produced in Lillo.
