Our products play an essential role in society, however we recognize and share concerns about the impact of greenhouse gas emissions and plastic pollution.
The step out PTA technology installed across our asset base in Belgium, the USA and China has lower greenhouse gas emissions, water discharge and solid waste disposal than conventional technologies. It is also the key enabler of our unique carbon neutral PTA market offering in Europe.
We are also developing INEOS Infinia, a recycling technology that diverts difficult-to-recycle PET packaging and polyester textile waste from landfill or incineration and transforms it back into new, virgin-quality feedstocks used to make new items that can be recycled again and again.
