Our Operations

With extensive licence interests across North and South Yorkshire, the East Midlands and Cheshire in addition to gathering geological information through 2D and 3D imaging technology we are now also planning to carry out some exploration drilling, known as coring wells, that will provide detailed information about the rocks 2-3 km below the surface. We are committed to full and open consultation with local communities. When we have formulated exploration plans for any of our licences we will engage with all stakeholders in communities near to proposed sites before submitting planning applications. This will continue through each stage of the process. Learn More

INEOS has launched a series of educational videos and leaflets to dispel the myths about Shale gas production as part of the company’s community engagement programme. Titles such as 'INEOS and our vision for Shale Gas', 'Shale Gas Key Facts', 'Reasons for extracting', 'Chemicals additives used in Fracking' and 'Community and the INEOS promise' can be found on our Films & Literature page.  Learn More

We know the importance of providing information about our plans to explore onshore gas across the UK before we implement them. We will hold community exhibitions to highlight the technology to find and extract onshore gas responsibly and we will explain how gas from shale can benefit the regions in which we will operate. We believe in a science based approach and being open and accessible. Community exhibition dates will be published here . Learn More
