INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe’s advanced food packaging sector supplies advantaged polyolefins for use in producing Injection moulded, Thermoformed and Blow moulded articles with volumes ranging from less than 10 ml to more than 20 L. These containers and bottles are typically supplied to the food and consumer packaging market.
Polypropylene
INEOS O&P Europe operates four production technologies on seven reactors based on five sites across Europe. This broad base enables production optimisation without compromising material properties. This coupled with detailed process and product development has given INEOS O&P Europe a broad grade range with leading products for all mainstream applications.
- Homopolymer grades for maximum stiffness, excellent hot fill characteristics and good contact clarity and surface gloss
- Random copolymer grades with outstanding clarity and surface gloss, and good levels of rigidity and impact resistance
- Block or impact copolymer grades with excellent impact and good levels of rigidity
High density polyethylene
INEOS O&P Europe operates state of the art proprietary production facilities using a range of catalyst systems. These produce leading grades specifically tailored for injection and blow moulded food packaging applications.
Low and Linear low density polyethylene
INEOS O&P Europe has a limited range of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) grades suitable for the food packaging (e.g. caps and soft lids) industry.
