INEOS Chlor commended for outstanding safety performance
Staff at Runcorn based chemical manufacturer INEOS Chlor are celebrating after their company was recognised as running one of the UKs safest manufacturing sites - for the fifth year running!
The Chemical Industries Association has commended the Company by presenting it with the prestigious Diamond Safety Award – INEOS Chlor was one of only a handful of companies across the UK to receive the accolade. The Diamond Award is given to companies that can demonstrate year on year excellence in safety performance.
Said Steve Yee, Business Safety Manager: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised so publicly for our site safety. Yet again our staff have demonstrated how a clear focus on safety can achieve outstanding results and have earned us this well deserved place at the top of the safety league.”
To qualify for a Diamond Award, companies have to meet tough safety targets for ten consecutive years; Runcorn Site has been receiving awards for safety excellence since the awards began in 1994.
