REACH (EU)
INEOS confirms that all the products we place on the European Union market are REACH compliant. All substances contained in our products are successfully registered by INEOS or by INEOS’s suppliers (where not exempted from registration).
For polymers contained in our products, we confirm that all monomers requiring registration have been registered by INEOS or by INEOS's suppliers.
Non-EU Customers
INEOS’s non-EU customers exporting products within the scope of REACH to the European Union must ensure that their EU based importer will register any of the relevant substances or monomers which are imported at levels over one metric ton per year. INEOS does not cover third-party imports through an INEOS Only Representative. To ensure you remain compliant with REACH, it is recommended that customers purchase materials from INEOS companies within the EEA. We are happy to advise you which (alternative) materials are available for you.
K-REACH (KR)
For K-REACH (AREC), we have appointed our Korean entity – INEOS Korea REACH Co. – as the only representative covering products that INEOS imports into Korea as well as exports to Korea, covering our customers importing. When substances are/will be selected for registration, we will register these prior to the appropriate deadline.
Non-KR Customers
INEOS’s non-KR customers exporting products within the scope of K-REACH to Korea must ensure that their KR based importer will register and report any of the relevant substances which are imported. INEOS does not cover third-party imports through an INEOS Only Representative. To ensure you remain compliant with K-REACH, it is recommended that customers purchase materials from INEOS within Korea. We are happy to advise you which (alternative) materials are available for you.
KKDIK (Turkish REACH)
For KKDİK, we have appointed “REACH Global Services” as the only representative, covering both products INEOS imports and the products customers are importing from INEOS into Turkey. We plan to register relevant substances prior to the deadline. When the registration phase starts in 2020, we will establish a relationship with customers importing from INEOS which will relieve them from their registration obligations as an importer and become a downstream user of INEOS.
Non-TR Customers
INEOS’s non-TR customers exporting products within the scope of KKDİK to Turkey must ensure that their TR based importer will (pre-)register any of the relevant substances or monomers which are imported at levels over one metric ton per year. INEOS does not cover third-party imports through an INEOS Only Representative. To ensure you remain compliant with KKDİK, it is recommended that customers purchase materials from INEOS within Turkey. We are happy to advise you which (alternative) materials are available for you.
Our commitment
INEOS is prepared to provide appropriate confirmation to our customers that INEOS products are REACH, K-REACH and KKDİK compliant – meaning that pre-registration is complete, or that registration is completed or exempted or planned to meet appropriate deadlines, where appropriate.
In order to comply with the REACH, K-REACH and KKDİK legislation/regulation, INEOS is working closely with customers to collect information on the uses and exposure potential of INEOS products and the related substances that are purchased or imported in the EEA, Korea and Turkey. As a downstream user of chemical substances, customers have the duty to inform INEOS on the use of a substance or register their specific use themselves.
Our goal is to provide our customers with support, in close cooperation with our suppliers, to ensure that compliance with REACH, K-REACH and KKDİK can be managed effectively and smoothly for the products we manufacture, import and distribute in the EEA, Korea and Turkey. INEOS will contact you with additional information on how we will be working with you to secure REACH, K-REACH and KKDİK registration for INEOS products.
